NeX Automate Named Finalist in the 2026 IABCA Excellence
in Innovation Award
Selected from over 300 nominations through a merit-based, jury-led process — recognised for purpose-built AI automation transforming Australian accounting firms.
NextGen Group is proud to announce that NeX Automate has been named a Finalist in the 2026 IABCA Excellence in Innovation Award — a prestigious recognition presented by the India Australia Business & Community Alliance (IABCA), selected through a rigorous, jury-led process from a field of over 300 nominations.
Those nominations represented a broad cross-section of organisations across business, innovation, research, culture, and leadership operating within the Australia-India corridor.
About the IABCA Excellence in Innovation Award
The IABCA Excellence in Innovation Award recognises a start-up, business or project that has exercised innovation in contriving a new and unique business model. The category is also open to established businesses that have shown innovation by introducing a novel product or service, or by executing an innovative policy or strategy to generate a competitive advantage.
IABCA is a non-membership platform that convenes and elevates leaders based on merit, impact, and contribution. The 2026 Awards Jury includes distinguished figures drawn from government, academia, and industry.
Finalists will be celebrated at the 2026 IABCA Awards Gala, held as part of the IABCA Immersion Week in Australia in September 2026.
What NeX Automate Does
NeX Automate is an AI-powered automation platform built specifically for Australian accounting firms. The platform addresses the manual, repetitive work that slows accounting practices — spanning client verification, AML/CTF compliance, workpapers, document processing, and tax workflow automation — so that firms can focus on delivering value to their clients.
VERA — Client Verification & AML/CTF Compliance
Automated VOI checks, AML/CTF screening, risk scoring, and ongoing monitoring — designed for the Tranche 2 compliance deadline of 1 July 2026.
TAZ — ATO Document Automation
Automated processing of ATO documents, reducing manual handling and accelerating turnaround across high-volume tax workflows.
DEX — Workpapers Automation
Intelligent workpaper generation that eliminates repetitive preparation work, freeing staff time for higher-value client advisory.
ASHER — ASIC Review Automation
Automated ASIC review workflows providing consistent, auditable outputs across corporate compliance obligations.
The platform is designed to integrate directly into a firm’s existing workflow, with a deployment model that is fast, flexible, and does not require a long-term lock-in commitment. For accounting firms managing significant volumes of clients and compliance obligations, NeX Automate provides the consistency and auditability that manual processes cannot.
A Note on This Recognition
“Being selected from over 300 nominations — through a merit-based, jury-led process — reflects the calibre of the problem NeX Automate is solving and the quality of the solution that has been built.”
This finalist recognition is a meaningful acknowledgement of the work the NeX Automate team has invested in building automation that is purpose-built for Australian accounting firms. The selection reflects both the significance of the problem being solved — reducing manual compliance burden ahead of a landmark regulatory reform — and the calibre of the solution delivering it.
The NextGen Group looks forward to the 2026 IABCA Awards Gala in September 2026 and extends its congratulations to all fellow finalists.
